A Time To Speak

Harry was left to ponder in silence the depths to which girls would sink to get revenge.

Chapter Thirty-One

Holy shit!

Do you still get notifications from Victors?

No, why? What's going on?

I immediately copied and pasted Win's message into our private message, then called Alecia's cell. This was too big a deal to put in writing.

"I don't believe it!" Alecia answered on the first ring. She hadn't even bothered to say hello. "This was on Victors?"

"Yeah, I only saw it because I still get emails when somebody posts something new in there. I can't even remember the last time I got notified about anything in that group. Regina's going to crap a brick when she sees this!"

"Why didn't Win post this in Overcomers?"

"Maybe she did. But no, that's not right, I would have seen it if she did, since I don't have her blocked anymore."

"They've had a falling out! Win must have had some kind of argument with Reg and the others, and now she's been kicked off of Overcomers."

I was already checking the Overcomers page. "I can't see anything there about Win, so if there was a post about her, it must have been made by someone who has me blocked. But Win's not on the member list any more."

"Thank God." Alecia didn't say that in vain, the way heathens like me did. She really was thanking God.

"What's God got to do with it?"

"I was praying that she would see that group for what it is, and that she would have the courage to break away."

"Sounds more like she got a big shot of reality, right in the backside. It's about time."

"However it happened, I'm happy. I just hope they don't retaliate against her. If we're seeing this, they must be able to see it too."

"Yeah, I hope Win's got her ass covered. Anything they've got on her, they're going to use it."

It was a tense couple of days. Lee and Dennis both sent me messages of support, curious about what was going on. Lee had never migrated over to Overcomers when it started up, so I had a lot of explaining to do to catch him up on what had happened over the past six months or so. Dennis mentioned that he had spoken to Neville about the direction Overcomers had taken, with no result. Both of them said that they had grown tired of the constant, hyperbolic attacks on the school, and they both congratulated me for being brave enough to post something against Reg publicly. But for awhile I heard nothing back from Reg, Katrina, Stan, or any of the others.

When a response finally did come, I found out about it from Faith.

Win, there's a new link on the Overcomers page. I thought you should see it.

The link was to a web page. This web page.
